TRY THE TEST Christ's Pawn

Christ's Pawn

“Till sin be bitter, Christ will not be sweet”
Thomas Watson, in The Doctrine of Repentance
“Who has spoken and it came to pass, unless the Lord has commanded it? Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that good and bad come? Why should a living man complain, a man, about the punishment of his sins? Let us test and examine our ways and return to the Lord!”
— Lamentations 3:37-40

For centuries there has always been arguments used in an attempt to discredit the truths in scripture.  One thing I have realised is God’s word has always stood the test of times and their are indeed answers for the many questions put to the Bible.  These videos address a few of these ‘tricky’ arguments by laying out sound logic and more importantly biblical truth. He who has an ear let him hear!

People respond to different things differently. And that’s definitely the case with how they process facts regarding the creation/evolution controversy. Many people are willing to read extensive articles and attend seminars and conferences, in an effort to get solid information about these issues. However, there are still others (like myself) who prefer very succinct summaries. In fact, most of us probably fit into both of these categories at different times in our lives.

With that in mind, the guys at AiG teamed up with award-winning video producer “Bub” Kuns to create these series of videos; the fastest and most concise presentations I’ve seen so far that does a good job at laying out useful facts about evolution, fossils and other topics! Using an extremely creative combination of animation, text, and humor—each squeezed into roughly three minutes of “warp speed” teaching, the six videos explain:

Radiometric Dating (3:18)

Fossils and the Flood (3:22)

The Origin of Races (3:38)

Pain & Suffering (2:16)

The Nature of Science (3:55)

Evolution Refuted (2:36)

The six mini-videos address each subject with the latest information, making them perfect to show the family, and amazing as a way to spice up Sunday school lessons, small group studies, and more. Enjoy!

Questions, Questions…

http://s.ytimg.com/yt/img/pixel-vfl3z5WfW.gifHave you ever asked yourself questions like, “Why would a loving God send someone to Hell?” or “Why is there evil in the world?”  These and many more questions are addressed below in short (under 2 minutes) and engaging videos by the guys at Way Of the Master.  If you know others who have asked these questions, feel free to share with them as well.

“The real battle in our times would not be the inerrancy or infallibility of Scripture, but its sufficiency—are we going to rely on the Bible or will we continually long for other revelation?”

The Occasional Writing From a ‘Numbers’ Man

Since working at Barita Investments Ltd. I have been given the task of preparing numerous evaluations, recommendations and proposals for internal use and external publications. Those are just a few of the things I get to do on a day to day basis.  However, despite the fact that this ‘numbers’ man spends more time working on excel than with a pen and paper, I do enjoy the times I get to write articles on behalf of my Company.

Here are a few pieces I have done that have been published in the Business Paper:

This one here is an old school joint staring Caleb “B-Bob” Taylor and my wonderful wife, Ruth-Ann. Watched it again today and brought a smile to my face as I remembered this being my 1st few years of marriage, at our 1st home with our 1st child. God definitely been good to di yute. Big-up to Krystal Clear Productions who did the ad.

“The worldview of the Christian faith is simple enough. God has put enough into this world to make faith in him a most reasonable thing. But he has left enough out to make it impossible to live by sheer reason alone.”

Embracing the Foolish Message -April 22, 2012xx
Sean Taylor / CLF 2nd Service

A messaged shared at Christian Life Fellowship on April 22, 2012 to stir the hearts of believers and encourage us to embrace the ‘foolish’ message of the cross.  In a time were many have underestimated the power of the Gospel to save the lost and keep believers, Paul’s letter to the Church of Corinth serves to renew our trust and faith in the power and wisdom revealed in the midst of this message.

I can confirm that these rules are true. Yes; that cute, beautiful baby/toddler before you is a sinner (Psalm 51:5) in need of salvation.  Parents as early as you can preach the Gospel to your children, live the Gospel before them and pray that they will be saved.

“Beauty was created by God for a purpose: to give us the experience of wonder. And wonder, in turn, is intended to lead us to the ultimate human expression and privilege: worship. Beauty is both a gift and a map. It is a gift to be enjoyed and a map to be followed back to the source of the beauty with praise and thanksgiving. Without God, however, we are left to worship the artist or simply the beauty for its own sake. We worship created things rather than the Creator (Romans 1:25). Our wonder turns onto itself. We worship things, stuff, and matter.”
